Heard Libraries’ free Bloomberg.com subscription puts financial news at your fingertips

Subscriptions to Bloomberg.com, a leading source for international business, financial and economic news, are now available free of charge for Vanderbilt students, faculty and staff courtesy of the Jean and Alexander Heard Libraries.

Users can access unlimited news content at Bloomberg.com or download the mobile app for content on the go. The free subscription includes unlimited live streaming of Bloomberg TV, subscriber-only newsletters, and five gift articles per month.

To activate a subscription, first-time users must create an account using their @vanderbilt.edu email address. An eight-digit verification code will be sent to the entered address. Confirm your account by using the code.

Returning users should proceed to Bloomberg.com and click “Sign In.”

Please note that a Bloomberg.com subscription is not equivalent to a Bloomberg terminal. If you are looking for deep back files of financial data from the terminal, visit the fourth floor of Central Library to access the Bloomberg terminal located there.

Bloomberg.com joins other online subscription news sources provided free to the Vanderbilt community by the Heard Libraries. The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Financial Times are all part of the News Desk feature found midway down on the Heard Libraries homepage.
