Nashville Queer History occasionally hosts or participates in events. Below you can find a list of upcoming NQH events.

9/20 – JACKIE SHANE HISTORICAL MARKER UNVEILING
Join Nashville Queer History and the Metro Nashville Historical Commission on FRIDAY, September 20th from 6:00-6:45pm at 2601 Jefferson Street, Nashville, TN as we unveil Jackie Shane’s historical marker. Special speeches and performances from Music City leaders and musicians will take place starting at 6:00pm.
Parking information: Attendees should park in the vacant lot of the closed Family Dollar across the street from 2601 Jefferson Street, or utilize street parking along Scovel St., Beasley St., or 27th Ave., and other neighborhood streets in the surrounding area. Uber/Lyft/passenger drop-off is also encouraged.

9/20 – After Party at Golden Pony
Join us at the official Jackie Shane Celebration after party at GOLDEN PONY in East Nashville, located at 757 Douglas Avenue. We will have more performers, drag queens, and a special Jackie Shane inspired cocktail and mocktail.


9/21 – Any Other Way film screening and panel discussion
On Saturday, 9/21 the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will host a free, public screening of the documentary Any Other Way: The Jackie Shane Story from 2:00-4:15pm. Reserve your free tickets here.
9/22 – Any Other Way film screening
On Sunday, 9/22 the Nashville Film Festival will host a screening of the Any Other Way documentary at 1:00pm at Regal Green Hills. Tickets are $17. Buy your tickets here.
