Sarah Calise, founder and director of Nashville Queer History, is under contract with Vanderbilt University Press to write the first nonfiction book on the city’s LGBTQ+ history. The book, tentatively titled Y’All Come Out Now Y’Hear: An Introduction to Nashville’s LGBTQ History, will cover Nashville’s queer history from the 1890s to the 1990s, and is set to be released in 2025.
