About the Collection
Gear2Go is the Vanderbilt Libraries' lendable collection of creative and audiovisual equipment. Available to all Vanderbilt students, faculty, and staff, Gear2Go's mission is to connect students with technology that supports their creative ambitions and innovative thinking. The collection promotes experiential learning, facilitates interdisciplinary scholarship, and increases student access to technology.
With Gear2Go, students can take their learning on the go, broadening the bounds of the classroom to encompass the entire Vanderbilt campus and Nashville community.
Interested in multimodal learning, but don't know where to start? Check out Gear2Go! Whether you want to record a podcast, shoot a short film, or create a social media campaign, our equipment is perfect for making your creative projects a reality.
Reservering Your Equipment
- All equipment kits must be reserved in advance of their checkout period, and are available on a first come, first served basis.
- Reserve equipment with our Gear2Go Request Form, at least 48 hours in advance of your desired pick-up time.
- You will receive an email verifying your requested item(s), your locker pickup number, and your return appointment time and location.
Overdue Equipment Policy
- Overdue charges will accrue on items not returned on due date, unless you have made arrangements. Overdue charges will not be forgiven.
- Kits that are returned incomplete will not be discharged from your account until you have returned the missing pieces. Accrued overdue charges during this time will not be forgiven.
- Replacement costs for kits that are lost or damaged will be charged to your account.
