ABOUT NORMAN
Norman is a golden Labrador who is as goofy as he is sweet! He was trained by Canine Companions and works as a facility dog at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he does the serious work of bringing smiles to his patients. Equipped with three tennis balls in his mouth, a wagging tail, and a strong cuddle drive, Norman spends his days spreading joy to everyone he meets. Norman has been dubbed “employee of the month every month” by his co-workers.

Simon and Chrissy Lugge live in Nashville, TN, with their three children (Ava, Otto, and Hannah), their pet dog (Huckleberry), their cat (Eleanor), and – of course – Norman! If you look closely at the book, you’ll spot the whole family.
Chrissy is a neurologic physical therapist and works alongside Norman every day. She sees firsthand how many lives he touches and days he turns around.
