2025 At a Glance:
On Friday, August 15, the entertainment community came together for Stand Up To Cancer® (SU2C) and its ninth roadblock fundraising special, supporting urgently needed research and new treatments for cancer. The televised celebration entitled “One Night, One Goal. Beat Cancer!” recognized SU2C’s impact and progress over the last 16 years.
Celebrities making a special appearance during the telecast included Jonas Brothers, Noah Cyrus, Gavin DeGraw, Marcus King, Brothers Osborne, Jon Pardi, Jelly Roll, Dan + Shay, and CeCe Winans — joined by Nashville Community Gospel Choir, all lending their talents to help raise critical funds for cancer research. The special also included pre-taped segments featuring Kevin Bacon, Jamie Foxx, Tim McGraw, Zoe Saldaña, Keith Urban, and Reese Witherspoon. Grammy® Award-winning artist Sheryl Crow served as the evening’s host and performed, along with remarks by SU2C co-founder Katie Couric. Music icon Dolly Parton previously participated in a tune-in campaign to raise awareness for the Nashville telecast.
2023 At a Glance:
On Saturday, August 19, the entertainment community came together for Stand Up To Cancer® (SU2C) and its eighth roadblock fundraising special, supporting urgently needed research and new treatments for cancer. Debuting in a refreshing new format, the televised celebration entitled “How It Started, How It’s Going” recognized SU2C’s impact and progress over the last 15 years.
Celebrities making a special appearance during the show included Elizabeth Banks, Jessica Biel, Don Cheadle, Katie Couric, Danai Gurira, Tony Hale, Ken Jeong, Maria Menounos, Julianne Moore, Tig Notaro, Jimmy Smits, Eric Stonestreet, and Justin Timberlake; a special montage of comedic skits from past shows will feature Jack Black, Ben Falcone, Zach Galifianakis, Brad Garrett, Bill Hader, Jon Hamm, Kevin Hart, Ed Helms, Melissa McCarthy, and Matthew McConaughey. The televised special also featured past musical performances from the likes of Brittany Howard, Simone Ledward Boseman, and The Who.
2021 At a Glance:
On Saturday, August 21, 2021, the entertainment community came together for Stand Up To Cancer® (SU2C) and its seventh biennial roadblock televised fundraising special, supporting urgently needed research and new treatments for cancer.
The show aired featuring Academy Award®-winning actress Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth, a media industry entrepreneur and investor, as co-executive producers, working alongside the renowned live-event producing team of Done + Dusted and Stand Up To Cancer’s production team. Anthony Anderson, Ken Jeong & Tran Ho, and Sofia Vergara joined as cohosts. Common and Brittany Howard performed during the special evening.
2018 At a Glance:
The 2018 Stand Up To Cancer live fundraising special brought together all the networks and the biggest stars in entertainment, for one night of music, laughter, and inspiration. With a dazzling array of top talent, SU2C returned on Friday, September 7th, for the sixth roadblock telecast. Bradley Cooper, Academy Award®-nominated actor, returned as co-executive producer.
The event marked an important milestone in SU2C history: 10 years of making an impact and raising funds for groundbreaking cancer research that is helping to save lives now. An essential part of SU2C’s mission is to leverage the entertainment industry in a way that spreads our message and engages the public.

2016 At a Glance:
Stand Up To Cancer and the Hollywood community once again joined forces to support the fifth biennial televised fundraising special that aired on Friday, Sept. 9th, 2016. Blockbuster stars Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey, Emma Stone, Anna Kendrick, Josh Gad, Niecy Nash, Eric Stonestreet, Alison Sweeney, Ken Jeong, Marcia Cross, Greg Grunberg, Danielle Campbell, Charlie Wilson, Brittany Daniel, and SU2C Co-Founder Katie Couric appeared in the inspiring broadcast. In addition, celebrated recording artists, Celine Dion and Keith Urban with Little Big Town performed moving tributes in honor of all those standing up to cancer.
Academy Award®-nominated actor and founder of the Bradley Charles Cooper Foundation, Bradley Cooper, executive produced the broadcast event and appeared in it. Cooper also worked alongside the award-winning production team of Done + Dusted, in collaboration with the Stand Up To Cancer production team.
