Stella, heart recipient

Like most four-year-olds, Stella was an active child. She loved to swim, ride her bike, swing, and play with her big sister, Scarlett. Then, in November 2023, Stella developed flu-like symptoms, and her family took her to the ER. The hospital flew Stella to a children’s hospital, where her family learned she was in heart failure due to a rare gene mutation. Her only hope for survival was a new heart.

Elias, pediatric liver recipient

Elias was born with Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, an inherited disorder that increases the risk of liver disease, and because of his condition, Elias was frequently hospitalized and often too tired to play with his peers.

Sean, living kidney donor recipient
