Through Taste of Nashville, Vanderbilt students can experience some of the city’s best local restaurants—all of which are within walking distance from campus—while using Meal Money from their Commodore Card.

Whether you’re craving hot chicken, gourmet burgers, authentic sushi, or fresh-pressed juices, the Taste of Nashville program brings Music City’s flavors right to you. With participating restaurants in Hillsboro Village, Midtown, West End, and Elliston Place, you can enjoy a variety of dining options just a short walk away.

How It Works

  • Use Your Meal Money Off-Campus – Your Meal Money isn’t just for campus dining! You can use it at any participating Taste of Nashville restaurant.
  • Convenient Payment – Simply swipe your Commodore Card like a debit card to pay at checkout.
  • Check Your Balance – View your available Meal Money and add funds anytime by visiting the Commodore Card Office or stopping by 184 Sarratt.

Please note that students of legal drinking age in Tennessee may purchase up to two alcoholic beverages per transaction at participating Taste of Nashville restaurants, provided they also purchase food in the same transaction.
