COVID-19 clinical study open to all VUMC health care workers

VUMC health care workers concerned about their possible exposure to COVID-19 are invited to enroll this week in the Healthcare Worker Exposure Response and Outcomes (HERO) research program.

The program, which includes a registry and clinical trial to test whether hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) can prevent COVID-19 infection, is open to anyone working in a patient care setting: doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, emergency responders, interpreters and transporters, food and environmental service workers and others.
