Disaster exercise tomorrow to use Joint Patient Assessment Tracking system
The National Disaster Management System will be hosting an exercise on Feb. 14 which will involve the Joint Patient Assessment Tracking system (JPATS) tool to be used by the government if another region of the country were hit by a disaster and patients needed to be transferred out of the area.
Vanderbilt University Medical Center will be taking part in this exercise by receiving a few “paper” patients to the adult and pediatric emergency departments and the Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital. The event will start at 9:30 a.m. and last until approximately 11 a.m.
