New eStar Class on Document Scanning available (updated Information)
Over the last several weeks, teams working together have made tremendous progress in addressing a backlog of document scanning errors that originally totaled more than 8,600 errors. To help ensure this backlog does not return and to address issues of documents not being found in a patient’s chart, the eStar Training team was asked to create an in-class training to address these issues. Users can now enroll in “eStar Live: MedEx and Scanning 100”.
After attending this class, users will be able to:
- Access MedEx to properly search for and print forms
- Use tools to set commonly used forms as favorites for quicker access
- Find patients in MedEx using various search methods
- Utilize proper methods for scanning and document upload
- Understand scanning levels and doc types
- Speed up availability of information in a patient’s medical chart
Who CAN attend? Anyone at VUMC who accesses forms or scans documents into a patient’s medical record as part of their workflow.
Classes are currently available and can be found in the Learning Exchange (search “MedEx”). Please contact eStarTraining@vanderbilt.edu with any questions.
