Submissions sought for Tabula Rasa journal, Post Call Anthology

Tabula Rasa/Post Call Anthology, a student-run literary/art journal that showcases medical and non-medical creative work from the VUMC and greater Nashville community. Submissions are now open for the 2021 edition of both Tabula Rasa, Vanderbilt's Journal of Medical Humanities, and Post Call Anthology, which displays non-medical creative work from the Vanderbilt community. Editors Jessa Fogel and Arulita Gupta, both VUSM students, welcome art, photography, prose, and poetry from Vanderbilt students, residents, faculty, alumni, patients, and the Nashville community at large.

The editorial scope of the publications is broadening this year to include op-eds and articles, in order to provide a space for reflection on the current health care and medical education systems.

All submissions should be made to postcallanthology@gmail.com by March 1, 2021

Guidelines for submission:

- Written submissions should be typed. The maximum word count is 7,500, but there is no lower limit. Excerpts of longer works are welcome if self-contained.

- For artwork and photography, we accept pieces in both black/white and color. We prefer high-resolution (e.g. 300 ppi) images in TIFF, JPEG, or PNG.

- Any references for op-eds or articles should be listed in AMA format

- All submissions should be titled (or explicitly "Untitled"). If they wish, artists may submit captions or brief descriptions to be included in publication.

- There is no upper limit on the number of submissions per person. We look forward to reviewing all your creative work!
