This year's annual compliance training includes exclusion screening module

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center 2021 Annual Compliance Training includes a module that provides information about VUMC’s obligation to conduct employee exclusion screening.

VUMC performs exclusion screening to comply with government requirements. The purpose of exclusion screening is to identify employees who are not allowed to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, or other government programs.  Individuals the government has excluded may not be eligible to work for VUMC or other health care providers.

The Exclusion Screening Module asks VUMC employees for authorization for a VUMC vendor to perform the required screening. Staff who have questions about exclusion screening or the exclusion screening module are encouraged to review the Frequently Asked Questions about Exclusion Screening
