VUMC Program in Research Administration Development (VPRAD): New cohort starts in August

VPRAD Level 1 is currently recruiting candidates for its 32nd cohort, set to begin August 27. Do you know someone who might benefit?

VPRAD (VUMC Program in Research Administration Development) is a career development program that is ideal for newly hired, recently transferred, or any staff member working in an administrative role within a lab, clinic, or administrative office within the Research Enterprise. VPRAD is intended to fill knowledge gaps and equip learners with a broad overview of VUMC’s Research Enterprise, as well as the tools and resources to navigate within it.

Over the course of thirteen weeks, participants explore topics such as the lifecycle of a sponsored project, research compliance, shared resources, pre- and post-award management, financial processes, and VUMC best practices for research administration.

The program pursues these objectives through a combination of classroom learning, tours, a mentorship program, and a cumulative final exam.
