eStar update: New Tip Sheet for ambulatory referral orders

An updated Tip Sheet for placing ambulatory referral orders (both internal and external) is now available. This Tip Sheet will help clarify steps around the referral process, ensuring that we communicate patient information to the receiving provider. This also helps meet an important VUMC performance metric around closing the electronic referral loop.

Nothing about the referral order process has changed; the Tip Sheet helps to better explain the steps. Please refer to the updated Tip Sheet “Placing Ambulatory Referral Orders” (available in Hubbl).
