INFANT MENTAL HEALTH BEST PRACTICES: TRANSITION AND PERMANENCYIN THE CHILD WELFARE SYSTEM
Presented by Dr. Giovanni Billings, Psy.D., IMH-E®and Dr. Mindy Kronenberg, Ph.D., IMH-E®
About the webinar: Relationships are critical to the mental health and wellbeing of infants and young children, as children thrive in safe, stable, and nurturing environments. In the context of child welfare, children’s relationships are disrupted for the sake of safety; however, through reflective planning, court teams can support the relational stability and continuity that is essential for children in the child welfare system. Through didactic and group discussion formats, this webinar training will cover best practices regarding permanency planning and transition with infants and their caregivers informed by research from the field of infant mental health and the Safe Baby Court Team approach.
This project is funded under an agreement with the State of Tennessee.
Webinar Session: Thursday, Aug. 13 9:30–11:00 a.m.
