Oct. 29 event launches VUMC's Disability Employee Resource Group
All VUMC staff are invited to join Disability ERG Co-sponsors, Elise McMillan, JD, Co-Director of the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities and Megan Hart, Program Director of Tennessee Disability Pathfinder as they host an informational event to celebrate Disability Employment Awareness Month and officially launch the Disability ERG.
To be held at noon on Oct 29, the one-hour virtual event will feature Naveh Eldar, a noted disability employment specialist with BlueCare who will speak on “Advancing Disability Inclusion”. Eldar also hosts the podcast, “The Landscape”, which offers interviews on current disability topics with thought leaders from across the country.
A panel discussion moderated by Elise McMillan will follow. Panelists include Ella Hubbard, a Project SEARCH graduate and Children’s Hospital staff member and Megan Hart who will provide insight regarding how individuals with disabilities experience the VUMC culture.
