eStar Upgrade Spotlight: blood administration

One important change coming on April 7 to eStar is around the ordering and administration of blood products. Workflows have been enhanced to make this process more intuitive and streamlined. For example, nurses will be able to scan a blood barcode in flowsheets to quickly select the blood product on which they want to start documentation, instead of looking through flowsheets for the right transfusion. 

Specialized eLearnings have been prepared for this critical change, one specifically for clinicians and one for all other users, including nurses. Any user who orders or administers blood should review this important eLearning before April 7.
