Planned fire drill to take place in Medical Center East ORs tomorrow

Vanderbilt Environmental Health and Safety and Medical Center East OR leadership will conduct a fire drill between 6:30 and 7 a.m. on May 31. This is an announced drill which will consist of multiple scenarios, including an alarm activation. One scenario will include simulated smoke that will be contained to a single OR and will be removed by purging the ventilation system.

There will be drill signs posted in the surrounding areas to inform visitors and staff that this is a hospital drill.
