Departmental Travel Advisor certification available
Departmental Travel Advisors (DTAs) are select VUMC staff members who serve as key resources within their departments to support VUMC’s travel and expense business processes.
Each department at VUMC should have at least one certified DTA to support their departmental travelers, guest travel coordinators, travel assistants, and expense delegates. Those who attend DTA Certification class become experts in VUMC policies and procedures related to travel, how to use Concur, where to find training, and understanding financial reporting related to travel.
If you need a DTA in your area, or you’re interested in this opportunity for yourself, speak to your business officer/finance leader. To receive certification, DTAs attend two half-day certification classes to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and ability to fulfill this role.
