Daniel Muñoz, MD, assistant professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology, was interviewed for numerous stories about his New England Journal of Medicine study that found a single pill containing low doses of three medications to treat high blood pressure and one to lower cholesterol reduced the estimated risk of cardiovascular disease by 25 percent.   • Fox News interviewed him from the VUStar studio for a story about Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE).

WHYY’s ”The Pulse” reporter Alan Yu interviewed Lindsey McKernan, PhD, assistant professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, for a story about how hypnosis is used to treat IBS. The Pulse is a science show and podcast from the public radio station WHYY in Philadelphia.
