eStar update planned for Oct. 13

eStar will be updated on Oct. 13, 2019 and will require a short downtime to ensure the changes are applied. Please review the information below to ensure you and your teams are prepared for the changes you'll see once the update is complete.
Leaders and managers: How to prepare
1. Download/View Materials
- Download and review the Leadership Toolkit
- Download and review the Leadership Toolkit PowerPoint
- View the Webinar for Leaders (Search "Q4 Release" from the "Find a Course" search bar)
- View the Upgrade video of changes (Search "eStar Upgrade" from the "Find a Course" search bar and select which version (Outpatient or Inpatient/Procedural) you want to view)
2. Prepare Your Teams
- Identify the Guides to the Galaxy applicable to your area
- Ask outpatient staff to watch the OPWB eLearning
- Designate area for staff to review changes in Playground
- Review slides or discuss talking points in staff or department meetings
End users: How to prepare
1. Review your Guide to the Galaxy
Each guide contains an overview of the changes based on role. Users should review the Guide to the Galaxy most appropriate for your role (all guides are stored in Hubbl):
- Providers
- Nurses and clinical staff
- Pharmacy
- Ancillary clinical staff
- Non-clinical staff
- Electronic booklets are divided into role-specific bundles
- Each book begins with a chapter on general changes
- Primary eStar applications are divided alphabetically into chapter
- Secondary applications are at the end of the book and divided by area of focus, such as In Basket or Care Everywhere.
2. Watch the Outpatient Whiteboard eLearning (if necessary)
If you use the Outpatient Whiteboard, you will need to view the eStar Upgrade: Q4 2019 Outpatient Whiteboard Updates eLearning in the Learning Exchange. Search "Q4 Release" from the "Find a Course" search bar.
3. Practice in the Playground
Spend some time in the eStar playground – find your training login on Hubbl.
