Schaffner also was interviewed by CNN about flu shots, and by U.S. News & World Report contributor Vanessa Caceres for a story about ways to prevent meningitis.

Associated Press national reporter Lauran Neergaard interviewed Seth Karp, MD, chief of the Section of Surgical Sciences, for a story about how where you die can affect your chances of being an organ donor. USA Today and the Washington Post were among the news organization that picked up the piece.

Sayeh Nikpay, PhD, assistant professor of Health Policy, is co-hosting the first episode of the Tradeoffs podcast exploring the “confusing, costly, and often counterintuitive” health care system. Dan Gorenstein, former senior reporter with American Public Media’s “Marketplace,” is the executive producer and co-host. Nikpay was also quoted in a Kaiser Health News story about barriers to receiving care at some nonprofit hospitals.
