Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools site visit underway

Today and tomorrow, site visitors are on the Vanderbilt University Medical Center campus as part of a site visit by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). This is the agency to which VUMC is applying for institutional accreditation for its Center for Programs in Allied Health.

Ten site visitors are reviewing the six allied health programs — Medical Laboratory Science,  Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Neurodiagnostic Technology, Dietetic Internship and Perfusion — as well as VUMC central support structures. The site visitors will tour the administrative, classroom and clinical areas where students in these disciplines learn.
