VUMC employee yoga classes for back pain and insomnia to begin at Osher Center for Integrative Medicine

The Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Vanderbilt has two yoga classes for employees beginning in April. Both classes are designed to help with health issues, and each is available to VUMC employees for a one-time $20 copay.

Yoga for Back Pain starts April 9

Participants must have a clinical diagnosis of low back pain. The first meeting of this series of six classes, one per week, is April 9 and sessions are: Mondays 7-8 a.m., Tuesdays 12:15-1:15 p.m. and Wednesdays 7-8 a.m. Monday and Wednesday classes will take place at the Osher Center, 3401 West End Ave, Suite 380. The Tuesday class will be in Medical Center East, South Tower, on the third floor at Vanderbilt Orthopaedics Institute.

A $20 co-pay is required at the start of the session. Participants should arrive a half hour ahead of time for the first session for check-in.

All mats and props will be provided. Participants should wear comfortable clothing.
