Discussions of the GRE's role scheduled
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores are used by many graduate program admissions committees as one metric in the evaluation of an applicant’s readiness and likely success in graduate training. In recent years, a national conversation has started about the usefulness of this metric and the fairness of the GRE. Vanderbilt University School of Medicine graduate admissions committees and programs have entered this discussion. To learn more and to ask questions about the GRE and its usefulness as a predictor of student success, attend one of the town hall meetings dedicated to these topics. Please come hear Linda Sealy and Jeffrey Bloom speak about “Diversity, Inclusion, and the GRE” on Monday, April 30 4-5 p.m. in 214 Light Hall, or Monday, June 4, 4-5 pm in 202 Light Hall.
