Changes coming to InBasket

In mid-May, an update will be made to eStar InBaskets that will change the “Telephone” encounter type to a broader “Communication” encounter type. Associated messages from this more generic encounter type will now appear in the renamed “Communication” folder, instead of the “Patient Call” folder. This change will allow InBasket functionality to support more types of workflows and reasons for communications.

Made after detailed discussions with users across the Medical Center, this change is being implemented to continue the ongoing improvement of eStar InBaskets.
