Oxygen delivery system test to be June 25-29
From Monday June 25 through Friday June 29, the offices of Space and Facilities Planning and Facilities Management will be performing a test of the oxygen (O2) delivery system serving Children’s Hospital and the Adult Hospital, including Medical Center East, the Critical Care Tower, Round Wing and limited areas of the Vanderbilt Clinic.
The test, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 25, will ensure that two portable O2 units, one on Medical Center Drive and one on the VA Drive (23rd Avenue South) can supply uninterrupted service. The portable units will be installed again later this year in preparation for expanding the existing fixed tank farm on the VA drive.
Members of the Facilities Management team will be strategically stationed in each of the buildings served to ensure O2 delivery pressures are maintained. In the event any area experiences a drop in O2 pressure we will immediately switch back to the fixed tank farm. No interruption of O2 will occur.
