SafeVU app update delayed
SafeVU, the safety app launched by Vanderbilt University Public Safety in fall 2015, is getting a makeover. The new version was set to be released on July 1, but has been delayed.
Please note that the app will experience a temporary maintenance period until further notice. If you need assistance from the Vanderbilt University Police Department during this time, please call 615-421-1911 for emergencies or 615-322-2745 for non-emergency assistance.
The new version of the app will keep all of the same features, such as reporting, emergency calling, and the services and guides, but will include a few more features and improved aesthetics, as well as be even more user friendly.
"Your safety is our priority, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work toward upgrading SafeVU to provide an even greater level of service," a statement from VUPD said.
MyVUMC will update readers when the app is available for download.
*SafeVU is only available through Google Play and the Apple Store.
