Admiral Brett Giroir, U.S. Assistant Secretary for Health, to participate in opioid panel at noon today

U.S. Assistant Secretary for Health Admiral Brett Giroir, MD, will be one of the panelists for a discussion, "Improving Outcomes for Families Affected by the Opioid Epidemic," Tuesday, July 24, at noon in 202 Light Hall.

The panel will be moderated by Michael Warren, MD, Deputy Commissioner for Public Health, Tennessee Department of Health, and will also feature Steven Webber, MBChB, MRCP, chair of Pediatrics; Bonnie Miller, MD, MHHC, Senior Associate Dean for Health Sciences Education; Stephen Patrick, MD, MPH, director of the Center for Child Health Policy; and A.J. Reid Finlayson, MD, associate professor of Psychiatry.

The event is sponsored by Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and the Vanderbilt Center for Child Health Policy.
