Updates to Outpatient Whiteboard coming soon

Beginning Aug. 1, Vanderbilt colleagues will see several improvements to the Outpatient Whiteboard (OPWB) within eStar. These changes have been made to improve the functionality and user experience of the tool.

Specific changes include:

·         Visit Event will now launch current activities when launching the patient chart from the Visit Events Column.

·         You will now be able to Room the patient and update the ‘Color Dot’ column from the Intake Activity Screen.

·         Rm column will now ONLY display the patients checked in department in the Rm column if they are not already placed into a room.

·         Cast – There is now a manual Cast column available for you to manually update the Cast workflow in a clinic. Manual options: Ready, Ordered, In Progress, On-Hold, Canceled, Done

·         Last Wt – This column will display the last recorded weight of the patient in “kg, (lbs. oz.)” This column will be helpful for med dosing on weight.

·         MedScr - This med list score is intended to help the ED medication history technicians prioritize their patients by adding up points when criteria are met.

Users can reference the Tip Sheet “OPWB Updates for July_2018” (located within the Learning Home Dashboard and Hubbl) for screenshots and additional details. To see this change, users should log out of their current session of eStar and log into a new session.
