Babies less than 4 months of age needed for hearing research study
Researchers in Linda Hood's Auditory Physiology Laboratory at Vanderbilt are looking for babies to participate in a hearing study.
Study Purpose:
To develop a hearing test method that records responses using a brain wave test in infants, children and adults.
Participation in this study involves:
- A time commitment of approximately one hour
- Basic procedures to measure electrical responses from the brain in response to varying sounds
- The baby will have four sticker electrodes placed on them and sounds played to one ear
- The baby will be sleeping or resting quietly during testing
Your baby may be eligible for this study if he/she is younger than 4 months of age.
Participants will receive compensation for their participation ($15/hour).
