Cupid & Sectra for Cardiology to debut Aug. 30

On Aug. 30, a brand-new eStar module just for Cardiology is coming to Vanderbilt. VUMC is looking forward to welcoming Cupid, as a well as a new accompanying system for viewing images (called Sectra).

With the transition to Cupid, structured cardiology data will now be available in eStar. Users can:

  • View results of study directly in Chart Review
  • Avoid having to open separate PDF to view data
  • Use Smart Tools to access structured data

Users will also have new tools to view images of cardiology-related studies. Sectra UniView (its "light" client) will replace images currently seen using XERO Viewer and VueMotion (VWCH). Sectra IDS7 (its "thick" client) will replace images currently visible in HeartLab and Impax CV.

Users who access images directly from the patient's chart in eStar may continue to do so--UniView will automatically display the image from the hyperlink.

An optional UniView eLearning is currently available in the Learning Exchange: PACS Online: Online Enterprise PACS Web Viewer.

An eLearning for Sectra IDS7/TomTec, targeted for clinicians who do not practice cardiology, is available in the Learning Exchange: PACS Online: Cupid Sectra IDS7 and TomTec
