eStar Transfer Center to Launch Dec. 9

On Monday, Dec. 9, the eStar Transfer Center will go live, replacing the TeleTracking solution. eStar’s Transfer Center will allow VUMC colleagues to document both incoming and outgoing transfers of patients.

As an official eStar module, the Transfer Center will leverage the system’s integrated power, since documentation and transfer requests will exist in one place. It will also bring additional benefits:

• Better communication among colleagues
• Improved continuity of care (through shared workspace)
• Easier coordination of transfer requests
• Enhanced patient experience

To support Transfer Center users through the transition to the new module, support resources will be available (many on location) beginning Monday morning, with expected winddown by the afternoon of December 12. Beginning at 7:00 AM on Dec. 9, users will begin entering any existing TeleTracking patients into eStar. At 7:30 AM, all new transfer requests will go into the new Transfer Center.
