Martin Luther King Jr. morning program, lecture set for Jan. 18

All VUMC employees are invited to attend the sixth annual  MLK Morning program on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021 at 7:30 a.m. Created by the Office of Diversity & Inclusion and Human Resources, the program serves 
as a tribute and celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King  Jr.  The virtual program led by Andre Churchwell, MD, VUMC Chief Diversity Officer and Claudia Fontaine, HR Senior Director Learning and Development kicks off the day with a message from guest speaker Christina E. Bailey, MD, MSCI, and music by the United Voices of Vanderbilt Choir. Please use the following link to join.

At noon, AAMC’s chief diversity and inclusion officer, David A. Acosta, MD, will deliver the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Celebration Speaker Event. His lecture, “Making 'Good Trouble' in 2021: Time for Academic Medicine to Boldly Call for Racial Justice,” will be delivered virtually.
