Annual Harold Jordan Diversity and Inclusion Lecture is tomorrow

The Harold Jordan Diversity and Inclusion Lecture was established by the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in 2019 to honor the contributions of Harold Jordan, MD, the first African American resident at VUMC, to mental health services in the state of Tennessee.
Shim will present “Social (In)Justice and Mental Health”, focused on her work in mental health disparities and social determinants of mental health.
Shim received an MPH in health policy from Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University and an MD from Emory University School of Medicine. She serves on the editorial boards of Psychiatric Services, Community Mental Health Journal and American Psychiatric Publishing. She is a member of the American Association for Community Psychiatry and serves on the Research and Evaluation Committee of the California Mental Health Services Oversight and Accountability Commission.
The virtual lecture is open to the public. Join on Feb. 5 here.
A VUMC Voice story about Harold Jordan, in which he recalls his time at VUMC, is here.
