Ash Wednesday plans set for VUAH, Children's Hospital

Ash Wednesday is Feb. 17. Here are the plans and schdules for Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital and Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt - This year the Spiritual Care Department will have “Ashes to Go,” kits with ashes, imposition of Ashes, and a meditation.  These kits will be available in the chapel from 6:30 - 7:45 a.m., noon-2 p.m., and 6:30-7:45 p.m. If you have a patient or family member who is unable to come to the chapel, please page the chaplain on call at 835-1012 to have a kit brought to the bedside.

Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital – Imposition of Ashes to Go will be available in the Rhea Chapel on the first floor of VUAH from 7-7:30 a.m., 12:30-2 p.m., or 5-5:30 p.m.  If you have patients, family or staff who are not able to come to the Chapel, please call the Spiritual & Pastoral Care Office at 615-343-3535 and a time will be scheduled to come to your unit.
