Changes required for personal mobile devices accessing VUMC data; videos show how to migrate contacts

The staggered rollout has already begun and ends July 1, 2021. See the migration schedule to identify when your group is slotted to begin and visit the Microsoft Mobile (BYOD) website for detailed information.
What to expect
1. Two weeks, one week, and one day prior to migration, group members receive a series of emails and reminders that provide needed instructions.
2. At the end of the two-week period, once the Outlook app is set up on a device, group members are prompted on their personal device to take action.
3. Microsoft Outlook mobile app will be the only way to access your VUMC email and calendaring on a mobile device.
Videos available detailing migration of contacts
Some VUMC employees who have already completed the Mobile Application Management (MAM) and Microsoft Mobile Device Management (MDM) personal device enrollment have reported that their Outlook contacts did not properly migrate.
IT has prepared two videos, one for users of iOS/Apple devices, and the other for those who use Android devices, with clear, step-by-step instructions on how to make the transition, which is part of the Medical Center’s Expedition Tech initiative. The video has a portion on how to assure that contacts are part of the enrollment.
