“Caring for Incarcerated Patients with Dignity”

An incarcerated gentleman is admitted to the medical ICU with distributive shock. Despite being intubated and sedated, he is handcuffed to his hospital bed. We will use this case to facilitate a discussion about caring for our incarcerated patients with dignity.
