Department of Medicine announces August Medicine Grand Rounds

Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s (VUMC) Department of Medicine will host the upcoming Medicine Grand Rounds on Thursdays at 8 a.m. in August. Lectures will be live streamed and open to the medical community, including those outside Vanderbilt. Free CME credit is also provided with advanced registration.

  • August 5: “COVID-19: Vaccines, Variants and the Way Forward”

    Speaker: David M. Aronoff, MD, FIDSA, FAAM, Addison B. Scoville Jr. Chair in Medicine, Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of Infectious Diseases, VUMC

August 12: McGill Lectureship: “Molecular Phenotyping of Asthma and COPD”

  • Speaker: Prescott Woodruff, MD, Professor of Medicine and Cardiovascular Research Institute Investigator, University of California San Francisco

August 19: “Scleroderma: The Value of Clinical Research”

  • Speaker: Tracy Frech, MD, MS, Associate Professor of Medicine, Division of Rheumatology & Immunology, VUMC

August 26: “Oral Antibiotic Therapy for Osteomyelitis, Bacteremia, and Endocarditis”

  • Speaker: Brad Spellberg, MD, Professor of Clinical Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine
