Think before you post: a reminder on VUMC Social Media Policy
VUMC recognizes the importance of social media to connect, engage and communicate. VUMC was one of the first medical centers in the country to develop a social media policy to guide use of social media by its workforce.
VUMC’s social media policy generally requires that anyone identifying as a VUMC employee online follow the same VUMC Credo behavior, HIPAA, Conflict of Interest policy, privacy and general civil behavior guidelines, and not reveal proprietary financial, intellectual property, patient care or similar sensitive or private content.
