eStar Update: Addition of urine protein to creatinine ratio (PCR)

Beginning Nov. 3, a new lab orderable will be available in eStar. UR Protein/Creatinine Ratio [LAB6257] replaces UR Protein Lvl [LAB439], which will be inactivated. This change is necessary for consistency with clinical literature and will affect all users who order labs.

• Units will be mg/mg
• Users will be able to trend urine protein to creatine ratio for long-term monitoring for their patients
• LAB439 for UR Protein Lvl will be removed from user preference lists and will not be searchable
  • Replaced by the new lab orderable UR Protein/Creatinine Ratio LAB6257
• LAB439 for UR Protein Lvl will be removed from existing Beacon treatment plans
  • The new orderable will need to be manually updated

Users should Update all user preference lists with the new orderable.
