Enrollment open for CME opportunity through QuizTime application

In order to facilitate timely dissemination of the latest evidence among busy healthcare providers, we are offering text-based learning on two important topics: best practices for opioid prescribing* and use of intravenous fluids. By answering one question per day (via your smartphone or email) you can keep up to date with the latest guidelines while earning CME credit (1hr CME credit/4 questions answered). Upon enrolling in this educational study, you will receive both of the educational modules (opioid prescribing and intravenous fluids), but the order of delivery will be randomized so we can learn about the impact of this educational approach.

No information concerning your participation will be shared with your department or employer. The enrollment period will end Saturday, Jan. 18 and the first module will begin on Monday, Jan. 20. Please click on the link https://redcap.vanderbilt.edu/surveys/?s=7LETANXJRN to sign up. Additional reminders will be sent from learninghealth@vumc.org.

This project is supported by the Learning Healthcare System Platform.

Note:

* The opioid-prescribing module will fulfill the state requirement from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners. The questions in this module will be based on similar principles to other offerings from the QuizTime education group but contain updated content.

* Vanderbilt University Medical Center is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  Vanderbilt University Medical Center designates this enduring material for a maximum of 5 credits AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
