A roundup of a few recent stories from the press about Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Again this week, growing concern about the corona virus that began in Wuhan, China, and has now spread to many other countries, including the U.S., has brought numerous members of the national and international press to request interviews with William Schaffner, MD, professor of Preventive Medicine, and Mark Denison, MD, professor of Pediatrics and director of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases.

Schaffner was also quoted in several stories covering this year’s flu season, including stories on ABC’s “Good Morning America” and CNN.

Reporter Natasha Senjanovic interviewed John Graves, PhD, associate professor of Health Policy, for a story about direct primary care for American Public Media’s “Marketplace.” Senjanovic, who works for WPLN Nashville Public Radio, also filed an earlier story on the topic for local broadcast.
