Latest Blue Ridge Academic Health Group report, The Behavioral Health Crisis, is available
The latest Blue Ridge Academic Health Group (BRAHG) report, The Behavioral Health Crisis: A Road Map for Academic Health Center Leadership in Healing Our Nation, is available at http://whsc.emory.edu/blueridge/index.html. This report identifies the factors leading up to the crisis: a shortage of trained health care professionals, severe deficiency in inpatient/facility capacity, inadequate reimbursements, and a variety of other barriers that make it difficult, if not impossible, for people to access appropriate care in a timely matter. The report articulates why our nation’s approach to providing this care must change, and how academic health centers can play a role in leading that change.
The Blue Ridge Academic Health Group (BRAHG) is an organization of the nation’s leading academic health centers. Blue Ridge Academic Health Group co-chairs are Jonathan S.
