Free live-streamed movement classes offered by Osher Center
Free live-streamed 15- and 30-minute drop-in movement classes for everyone
The Osher Center for Integrative Medicine at Vanderbilt is offering free mid-day 30-minute and end-of-day 15-minute live-streamed guided movement practices beginning Monday, April 6. These online sessions are appropriate for any level of experience and are open to all VUMC clinicians and staff. Movement is a powerful tool for increasing vitality and reducing stress. These offerings will use the basics of yoga, qigong, breathing and meditation. The intention is to teach individuals how to harness their breath to promote relaxation and clarity.
These classes may benefit individuals who suffer from stress, uncertainty, pain, poor sleep, anxiety and stiffness.
Requirements:
- Quiet setting
- Enough space by your computer or smart phone for standing and for movements in a chair (without an armrest)
- Room to lie down
Equipment:
- A computer or smart phone and an internet connection to join the live class via Zoom (Zoom is a free program that is similar to FaceTime but has privacy that is appropriate for health care visits).

Sessions will be offered Mondays at 12:30 p.m. with Cindy Lio Hui.
