"Responding to Racism": Children's Hospital panel conversation is tomorrow
On June 12 from 8-8:45 a.m., staff and leaders from Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt will host a virtual conversation to foster compassionate dialogue in response to the growing awareness of racism in our community. This will be a space to acknowledge our collective grief in the face of injustice and renew our commitment to doing the hard and important work of continuing to learn and grow together. Resources for further education and to inform our everyday conversations with children, adolescents and families will also be shared.
This conversation will be led by:
- Arie Nettles, PhD, NCSP, HSP, associate professor of Clinical Pediatrics and director, Office of Inclusion and Health Equity at VUMC
- Rod Armstrong, MSN, MMHC, RN, CPN, manager, Pediatric Hematology Oncology

- Rev. Amanda Borchik, MDiv, BCC, staff chaplain
