Roots of Resiliency webinar on the power of gratitude set for June 18
The Power of Gratitude: Fostering Growth During the Pandemic
- Thursday, June 18, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Central
In times when things are going well, it may seem easier to access feelings of gratitude and celebrate what is good in our lives. However, research shows us that the practice of gratitude during time of stress and despair has the ability to transform us toward healing, hope and connection. This week, Tarah Kuhn, PhD, and Jon Ebert, PsyD, psychologists from the Vanderbilt Center of Excellence, will be joined by psychologist Bruce Compas, PhD, professor at Vanderbilt University and expert in stress and coping, to talk about the power of gratitude and explore ways to introduce this practice into our lives during this time of tumult and stress.
Roots of Resiliency is a weekly webinar series that represents a partnership between DCS and VUMC. This initiative invites you to join faculty and staff from the Vanderbilt Center of Excellence along with other experts in the fields of parenting, wellness and mental health with the goal of sharing knowledge and answering questions for the community. We hope this is an opportunity to address areas that may be relevant during this time.
