eStar update: New adult DVT/VTE prophylaxis order

As of June 30, a new Adult DVT/VTE Prophylaxis order panel has been added to four Adult General Admission order sets. This order panel has been added to provide wider access to the Adult Medicine DVT/VTE Prophylaxis order panel during the admission process.

The four order sets include (users may need to “refavorite” them to capture this update):

• Adult General Admission Orders
• Geriatric Inpatient Admission
• Adult Oncology Admission Orders
• MICU General Admission

The Adult Medicine DVT/VTE Prophylaxis order panel will appear for patients on an Adult Medicine service. Both the Adult Medicine DVT/VTE Prophylaxis order panel and the generic DVT/VTE Prophylaxis order panel will appear for patients either: 1) without a service or 2) on a service other than Adult Medicine.
