Veterans exposed to combat trauma needed for research study

Researchers are looking for veterans to participate in a research study. You may be eligible if you were exposed to combat trauma during your time at war in Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation New Dawn.

Study purpose: to investigate the effects of combat-related trauma on brain structure and function.

Study duration: The study requires two trips to the Nashville VA and Vanderbilt University Medical Center for a total of 6 hours. The first visit includes an interview and questionnaires. The second visit includes an MRI and saliva samples.

Eligibility criteria: You may be eligible for this study if you are a veteran (age 18-50) who was exposed to combat trauma and do not have any of the following: bipolar disorder, psychotic disorder, attention-related disorders (e.g., ADHD) or excessive alcohol or drug use in the past three months.

You will be compensated $125 for completing the study.
